Theros® Vagina Stents

Theros® Vagina Stents help prevent vaginal collapse, cramping or adhesion of the vaginal walls in cases of Vaginismus, vaginal stenosis, after gender-affirming surgery, in a neovagina or as a consequence of radiotherapy. They are particularly effective when used together with Theros® FMS dilators, making their benefits more sustainable through use in daily life. Two versions are available:
Vagina Stents with Segment provide improved retention in the vagina, particularly in smaller sizes.
Vagina Stents without Segment are easier to insert and are especially suitable for severely traumatised tissue or cramping conditions such as Vaginismus.
Theros® Vagina Stents are made from extremely break-resistant borosilicate glass (for specifications, see the download section). All Vagina stents have an opening at both ends to allow the drainage of secretions.
Each piece is handcrafted (mouth-blown) and unique. Corresponding tolerances in shape are therefore natural. The outer diameters, however, are exact, and all stents have a length of 80 mm. See below for all applications.

Indications for Use
- After effects of pelvic radiation therapy (e.g. for vaginal, uterine, or anal cancer)
- Post-operative support following male-to-female gender affirmation surgery (prevention of contraction or shrinkage of the neovagina)
- Following birth trauma (vaginal or perineal tears)
- Vaginismus, dyspareunia, vaginal cramps
- Vaginal stenosis.
Vaginal stents with segment allow better retention in the vagina, especially for smaller sizes.
Vaginal stents without a segment are easier to insert and recommended for highly sensitive tissue or cramps / vaginismus.
All vaginal stents have an opening at both ends to allow drainage of secretions.
Key features
Theros® Vagina Stents are handcrafted from high-strength borosilicate glass. Compared to conventional glass, borosilicate is significantly more robust (see break test in download section) and offers the following benefits:

Even with long-term use, borosilicate glass remains completely inert, unlike silicone, which can release chemicals when exposed to bodily acids or fluids. Theros® stents remain entirely toxin-free.
- Ultra-smooth and tissue-friendly
Borosilicate glass has the smoothest surface of any material, certified by ISO 25178. It prevents tissue adhesion and avoids mucosal irritation through minimal friction, even with prolonged use.
- Exceptionally hygienic and easy to clean
With no pores for bacteria to cling to, borosilicate glass is resistant to discoloration and odor. Disinfection is not required for personal use.
- Sustainable and environmentally friendly
Theros® Vagina Stents are virtually indestructible and do not need regular replacement like plastic products. This makes them an eco-conscious choice with zero plastic waste.
Sizes
Theros® Vagina Stents are available in the following diameters: 20 mm, 24 mm, 28 mm, 32mm, 36 mm and 40 mm. All stents have a length of 80 mm.
