About Theros

Theros is a combination of the terms therapy and eros. We only offer products that combine these two aspects, because they encompass the most elementary necessities of human physical and mental well-being, which in our philosophy of life are as interdependent as body and mind. In terms of functionality, materials and safety, our products are subject to the unconditional demand for the highest possible optimization without compromise and are accordingly exclusive.

They all consist to a large extent of manual work, because no purely industrial mass-produced product contains the energy of human attention, which is transferred to the user and constitutes the fascination of manual work.

My many years as a midwife, especially in home birth care, have given me the opportunity and the expertise to advise women and couples and their challenges around pregnancy, birth and becoming a parent - as a therapist also in later phases of life through couple or menopausal crises. Through these different approaches, I was able to get to know and understand the whole range and interconnectedness of physical and psychological problems relating to health, relationships, sexuality and finding meaning from different perspectives.

And last but not least, through her life experience as a single mother of twins, partner and grandmother, also in a patchwork constellation.

The realization that all these things - and basically EVERYTHING! - are connected in an overarching context and the experience that truly efficient therapeutic aids should do justice to this aspect is the motivation behind Theros. We want to do people good in their entirety with products of uncompromising quality: physically and emotionally, for therapy and Eros, women, men, diverse people, couples.

Personality development and spiritual background

For over 30 years I have been intensively involved with awareness, self-exploration and inner growth, sexual equality, tantra, breath training, etc. The Quadrinity Process and a 4-week stay at the Dahlke Healing Center to analyze archetypes and behavioral patterns were essential parts of this.

I have been practicing yoga and meditation for over 40 years.

Theros: Hera Schulte Westenberg & Theo Pötter

Since 2010, I have been gaining new insights while living together with my husband Theo Pötter, to whom I have been married since 2015. In the same year, we founded our joint company Theros.

Theo has worked as an artist all his life. For many years, he has been interested in spiritual science and the philosophy of being human, including therapeutic contexts from my professional field. His critical questioning of therapeutic aids with regard to their actual functionality and his recognition of shortcomings, which often arise for economic reasons during production, laid the foundation for developing our own products together without compromise and founding our company. Theo's ability to analyze, his creativity in developing improvements and the energy to consistently implement these experiences to perfection are what give our products their independence, clear aesthetics and special effectiveness.

This effectiveness is based on the fact that therapeutic problems in the center of the body and pleasure are not contradictory areas of application, but that pleasure is a condition for physical and psychological healing.

The overwhelmingly positive response confirms that we are on the right track with this concept.

We hope that we can continue to improve the quality of life of many people with Theros products and our philosophy.
