Size advice for vagina stents

Question from Nadia W.: Good day, I am considering the approach of treating vaginismus through the use of a stent in a sustainable way. Could you give me a recommendation on which size I should choose so that vaginal penetration can remain permanently pain-free and not lead to renewed tension?
And would a stent with or without a segment be better if tension already arises at the vaginal entrance?

Answer: Thank you very much for your email. How could I possibly give you a size recommendation – I don’t know anything about you!
For intended penetration by a male penis, you need at least 36 mm in diameter, preferably 40 mm. You would probably need to develop towards this step by step – at least that is the case for most users we have spoken with directly. Many start training with small FMS dilators and additionally use the stents. Of course, everything depends on the status quo!
The stents with a segment are easier for the wearer to hold. However, this usually doesn’t matter for women with vaginismus, as they involuntarily hold on firmly.
I hope I was able to help you!
