For first-time use, Viball® should be inserted using the enclosed application sheath as a precaution. In some cases, physical conditions such as scarring or tissue hardening after surgery may make removal more difficult – the sheath allows gentle traction if needed. Psychological factors like tension, nervousness, or a tendency to cramp can also play a role. In general, difficulties with removal are rare and occur mostly when using smaller models vaginally. Larger models or Viball® pairs are more easily gripped by the muscles. In rectal use, complications are extremely rare and – in the worst case – resolved naturally by intestinal movement.

Users who need to ensure they can remove a Viball® at any time and within seconds (e.g. when away from home) should always use application sheaths. The moistened version contains a high-quality lubricant in the right amount, so no additional lube is needed.

Each application sheath is individually sealed and available in packs of 20 or 50, packaged in heat-sealed clear pouches.
