Question from Iris K: I have a follow-up question about using Viball after a total laparoscopic hysterectomy (following the removal of an endometrial carcinoma).
It’s now been six months since the operation, and I’ve received medical clearance to begin training again. I wanted to use the 40 mm Viball to stabilise and strengthen my pelvic floor.
However, I’m facing a problem: this size won’t stay inside the vagina (even with the condom provided). It slips out immediately after insertion – even when lying on my back – because it seems to be too heavy.
Is it possible to return this Viball or exchange it for the smaller and lighter 36 mm version?
Answer: Unfortunately, returns are only possible if the hygiene seal is intact. Once the seal has been broken, the product is considered used and – as a certified medical device – cannot be returned for legal reasons.
But every Viball has several possible uses, and the 36 mm version can also be used in various ways.
As for the actual problem: it’s definitely not the weight that’s causing the issue. The 40 mm ball is simply far too small. A smaller one (like the VB36) won’t solve this – quite the opposite.
How did you choose the 40 mm size in the first place? Here’s our guidance again on how to determine the right size: https://theros.de/en/pages/faq-viball
In our experience, you’ll most likely need a VB50. And if you want to use Viball for everyday wear in an upright position right from the start, we recommend the Light version, which has less weight and is ideal for (very) weak pelvic floor muscles. The larger the ball, the heavier it gets – which is why we offer Light versions from 50 mm upwards.
Alternatively, you can start with a standard (heavier) Viball – but we strongly recommend using it first for several weeks in horizontal positions only, doing focused pelvic floor exercises to rebuild strength.
Another option is a Massive Ball – but please note: due to their high weight, these are only suitable for strength training or stimulation in lying positions (e.g. during sex).
