Question from Volker M, 71: I came across your website by chance. Since I have to go to the toilet several times during the night, I would like to use the Viball balls for pelvic floor training. I am 71 years old and is it still advisable to use the balls for pelvic floor training and prostate health at this age? Since I am still active, I would also like to insert the balls when hiking, swimming and cycling. Is that possible? I have concerns about the ball's placement. I am thinking of using a 40 mm ball.
Answer : Of course it is good to stimulate the prostate at any age and especially when exercising because it stimulates its function and has been shown to prevent prostate cancer. Stimulation is particularly effective when it is regular but moderate exercise such as walking, cycling, dancing, etc. as you describe. Squash or badminton (jumping sports) are not recommended, especially if you have large balls, as this can lead to a kind of "muscle soreness", but this has no negative after-effects, just unpleasant. Regarding the application: There is no danger when you use the application sleeve the first time if you unknowingly have abnormalities in the rectum which make natural application while squatting difficult. In this case you should always use application sleeves. The old fairy tale: "The intestines pull everything inwards" is nonsense, as is clear from the natural peristalsis (the direction of digestion). And a ball cannot get twisted like long objects. Viball is a certified medical product and therefore meets the prescribed safety regulations for use.
